Writing in an Age of Silence

I just finished reading Sara Paretsky's Writing in an Age of Silence and Wow! I am so impressed with Paretsky's voice and understanding of the issues facing all americans and particularly librarians in today's USA. Her memoir also struck a personal chord by revealing things about my parents' generation and Chicago that I didn't know. I would classify this as a must read for all librarians because it sheds light on the issues in a very personal way.
